Wednesday Worship~Come Be Satisfied!

"Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near." Isaiah 55:6 (NIV)

We all search for satisfaction. We long to be filled.

We've been invited into the presence of the One who satisfies...and delights.

Will you accept?

Monday Meditation~Come!

 Isaiah 55:1-2 (NIV)
Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread,
And your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare.

Is there a hunger or thirst in your soul? Are you longing to be satisfied? You've been invited to the Source of all satisfaction. Will you come? Will you delight in the richest of fare?
The Lord, His unfailing love, and His Word are available to you. Just seek and listen. Just come.

Wednesday Worship~Word of God Speak

Deuteronomy 32:1-2 (NIV)

Listen, you heavens, and I will speak;
hear, you earth, the words of my mouth.
Let my teaching fall like rain
and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass,
like abundant rain on tender plants.

Praying that His words are descending upon you tenderly today. Sweet blessings!

Monday Meditation~Turn On the Lamp

Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105 (NIV)

I think I've known that verse my whole life. I can almost hear the voices of those sweet little old lady Sunday School teachers from my childhood encouraging me to hide those words in my heart.

And I did.

Oh, I probably couldn't tell you right off the bat the chapter and verse at any given moment, but the words are there.

Those are the first words that came to mind this morning as I pondered this post. I repeated it a few times. I thought about what it means to me. I let it simmer there for a little bit.

Then something dawned on me for the first time. (You may have gotten this from the very beginning...but it was fresh for me.)

You know, in the daytime, we may or may not need a lamp on. Night, though, is surely to prompt us to reach for the switch.

In a like manner, when our days are bright, when all is going well, we may not seek the Lord and His Word so desperately. But when night falls, and darkness surrounds us...when troubles come, we become like the hound digging frantically for a bone buried underground.

Oh that we would carry His Word so close to our hearts, keep it mulling in our minds during the "daylight" hours so that when the sunlight fades it already burns brightly.

Have you turned on The Lamp today?

Monday Meditation~Will You Walk On Water?

Matthew 14:25-33 (NIV)

During the fourth watch of the night
Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.
When the disciples saw Him walking
on the lake, they were terrified.
"It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.
But Jesus immediately said to them;
"Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
Lord, if it's You," Peter replied, "tell
me to come to You on the water."
"Come," He said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat,
walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and,
beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"
Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and caught him.
"You of little faith," He said, "why did you doubt?"

Has Jesus called out to you to "Come" in some matter? Will you "Take courage" and believe Him to reach out His hand of help to you? Will you trust Him to give you the strength, provision, and capability to walk in the way He called you? Let's be faith walkers and see where He takes us!

Praying great faith for you today!

Wednesday Worship~I Lift My Hands

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging....The LORD Almighty is with us." Psalm 46:1-3,11(NIV)

For those times when you feel like throwing your hands up in defeat, instead, lift your hands and believe that He who loves you is faithful. His love for you is deeper than the sea. Let your faith arise.

Monday Meditation~Our Refuge and Strength

Psalm 46 (NIV)

God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth
give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
The holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
He lifts His voice, the earth melts.
The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Come and see the works of the LORD,
the desolations He has brought on the earth;
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear,
He burns the shields with fire.
"Be still and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."
The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Do you feel the mountains of your circumstances quaking with the surging of the sea of life's roaring and foaming threatening to drown you in its great depths?

There is One who knows the full extent of the quaking within us. And He, the LORD Almighty is our refuge and strength. He is ever-present and all powerful. And He will be exalted. He knows the end of the story. And the Good Guy wins!

Wednesday Worship~All Things New

"Behold, I make all things new." Revelation 21:5 (KJV)

In this new year, let's believe the One who redeems, restores, renews, and transforms! He alone is able to make all things new.

Hallelujah!

Trusting Him,
