Sweet Words of Gratitude

Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever."
Psalm 106:1 (NIV)

It stuck with me.

That sweet, simple prayer that my Mama and Daddy taught me when I was a wee one.

Thank you for the world so sweet.
Thank you for the food we eat.
Thank you for the birds that sing.
Thank you, God, for everything.

I must admit. I still find myself praying those same words as I take that first step outside in the early hours of the morning. The birds sing their praise to their Creator. And I'm taken back to those childlike offerings of thanksgiving. I often speak them aloud. Right there in my front yard. Ah, yes, thank you, Lord.

The words, "Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever." occur numerous times in Scripture. Oh that we would live in an attitude of appreciation for His goodness, His creation, His provision, and His unfathomable love for us.

I'm thanking God for YOU today, and praying for you to find great delight in giving Him thanks as you go about your day!

Sweet blessings,

Some of my sweetest memories with my boys have come from their heartfelt sincere prayers. .. ;) they are something aren't they? ;) And, I love the birds too each morning Kristi -- I've been reading through galatians and colossians and I see the word thankfulness and gratitude a lot (despite one's circumestances) -- it's a way of life and I have to retrain my brain to offer thanksgiving in all things.

Bless you dear and thank you for sharing today. Love, Hester ;)
